Characteristics of Stainless Steel Cookware

Ever since the introduction of exclusive range of cookware, one of the main complaints has been its high susceptibility to stains, flaking off of paint and slow corrosion. Due to these problems it is just a matter of time before the cookware needs to be discarded and replaced by a new set which in turn works out to be quite a size able financial problem in the long run. However, good news is just round the corner in form of stainless steel cookware which, although not stainless steel, is free from all these drawbacks.

Not only is stainless steel cookware superior in the kitchen, it is also environmentally friendly. It is well known by those joining efforts that the little things do add up and do make a big difference. Here lies yet another of those little ways to aid in that endeavor. On the average, stainless steel products are made up of 60 percent recycled material and that in and of itself makes this form of cookware a very “green” investment.

Stainless steel cookware is rated best overall and, more commonly than not, is preferred by professional chefs, in commercial kitchens and by those who have taken the opportunity to compare the products available. In its unique design there is a copper or aluminum disk placed within or on the base of the cookware itself. This provides for an excellent heat distribution system and enables the ultimate in evenly cooked foods.

Not only is stainless steel cookware light and easy to handle but with the added benefit of “stay cool” handles, this cookware is very user friendly for stovetop handling. These “stay cool” handles can also withstand high oven temperatures. This allows for quick, trouble free transfers from stovetop to oven making them even more versatile.

Under the proper care, stainless steel cookware can very well last over a hundred years. Its nonporous surface leaves no place for dirt, grease or bacteria to hide making it one of the most hygienic surfaces available for food preparation in addition to the short work of clean up under any demand. With its long life, low maintenance, versatility and excellent cooking ability, there’s no reason to wonder why it is favored among those who know cooking and leaves little doubt that it will outlast even the chef.

As for the proper care of stainless steel cookware, there are a few things to remember. They are not intended and were never meant to be used as storage containers for liquids or foods. Once the cooking has been completed all liquids and foods should be removed and, if storage is needed, these should be placed in appropriate food storage containers.

It is always recommended to wash prior to using for the first time. Owing to the nature of stainless steel cookware a golden rule would be to never use abrasive materials to clean and rather wash in warm soapy water before food has been allowed to dry on the surface. In cases where food has been left to dry, or has been burnt, again use warm soapy water and if scrubbing is necessary, use a nylon scourer for stubborn or stuck on food.

If additional effort is needed, soak the stainless steel cookware in warm soapy water and then bring to a boil if necessary for a few minutes before washing. For calcium deposits or white deposits in the pan, boiling a mixture of water and white vinegar before washing is recommended. Never use ammonia or bleach for cleaning as these are strong substances which are bound to corrode the surface.

* Coffee maker to prepare Turkish coffee and optimal brewing different kinds of tea. General characteristics: Material – stainless steel; Volume – 0.3 l; Power – 800 Watts; Stand with rotatable by 360 °
Upgrade: Cover-thermometer – up to 120 degrees; Power adapter – 180 Watt. Electric Turkish coffee pot has 800 watts of power – that much… Coffee is quickly heated and difficult (especially without habit) to catch the moment of lifting the foam and not give coffee to boil, as if distracted, the coffee can and does boil.

I decided to reduce the power to 180 watts with an adapter. Now electric Turkish coffee pot prepares the coffee slowly and the coffee does not boil over. To control the temperature thermometer used.

This electric Turkish coffee pot can also brew different kinds of tea at optimum temperatures.,
