    I bought all three Nordic Ware lids (Brushed Stainless Steel, Universal, and this Glass one) to try to fit the 12, 10 and 8 inch Nordic Ware Restaurant Fry Pans. The Glass 12 inch lid does NOT fit the 12 inch fry pan. Only the 12 in Brushed Stainless fit the 12 in Restaurant Fry Pan. And interestingly enough, in the 8 inch size, the Glass lid is the only one of the three that fit and in the 10 inch, the Universal is the only one of the three to fit … so each Nordic Ware fry pan needs a different Nordic Ware lid to fit properly.

    This lid is sturdy and fits well on my 12-inch skillets. The steam vent hole in the lid is great for simmering and reducing liquids in food while avoiding splatter. The padded handle prevents finger burns.

    I ordered this to go with my Wearever 12-in non-stick skillet. It’s a perfect fit. This lid has a nice rim with an edge wide enough to allow for small varience from brand to brand. But my experience is with the Wearever. The lid is substantial, has the little steam vent, and sits securely on the skillet. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! Thank you, Nordicware!
