This review is from: Le Creuset Signature Iron Handle Skillet, 9-Inch, Marseille (Kitchen)
I have many Le Creuset pans, dutch oven, etc….I have enjoyed them since they are consistent performers, go from stove to oven, look great.

Imagine my surprise when the black enamel on the bottom of my skillet started to bubble off the third time I used it.

I was even more shocked when I called Le Creuset and their customer service representative told me that I would be responsible for the cost of shipping this product back to them if I wanted a replacement and IF they determined it was flawed they would replace it free and IF not, I would be offered a discount on a new one.

So, I’m going to pay the 30 bucks required to ship it to find out if they will decide to correct their product defect? What kind of customer service is that?

Sad, Le Creuset, that is just awful customer service from a brand I have used, recommended and purchased for others.

I’ll never make the mistake of buying another one of their products.

Made to be an heirloom piece!, February 14, 2015

This is a very nice medium sized skillet. Since I just purchased this, I have used it to make grilled cheese and sunny side up eggs. Both dishes turned out beautifully! To give you an idea on how large it is, you can cook 2 fried large eggs in it at once comfortably (you could cook 3 but then they would run together). This piece isn’t a bare cast iron, it has a black enameled coating on the inside. I didn’t realize that when I ordered, but it’s not an issue. It doesn’t need to be seasoned (per instructions in booklet). It is made to last as an heirloom piece!
