Fit a Le Creuset kettle I had a Le Crueset whistling kettle with a broken stopper. I looked all over for a replacement but couldn’t find one. This item looked similar in size, but I couldn’t find dimensions posted anywhere. It’s slightly smaller than my original, but fits well enough to whistle. In case you have the same problem with a slightly different kettle, here are the relevant dimensions. It is 3/4″ in diameter and sinks 15/16″ into the kettle. Works well for Le Creuset kettle I bought this for my white and it works! The fit is functional, though less than perfectly snug–if I could find a little rubber washer of the correct size then it would be perfect. I worry a little that the little metal friction wires it uses to keep it secured in will damage the spout insides after a while, I’m planning on bending them so they’re a little less taught and easier to go in and out…
