There aren’t many options for stainless steel cookware with the non-stick coating, but this set is exactly what we were looking for. I am somewhat of a pessimist, and I’ve seen some less than stellar products from Farberware in the past (knives, pans, utensils), but when we opened the box and examined this cookware we were very pleasantly surprised with it’s sturdiness and weight. We have other stainless cookware already, and we needed a few more options when it came to non-stick pans, so that’s the reason we wanted to purchase this set in the first place. Every single piece in this set has the non-stick coating, even the 3 pots. I was especially surprised that the largest 8 qt stock pot had the coating…to me that’s pretty cool, but not entirely necessary. The stainless finish on the outside looks fantastic and the non-stick on the inside looks pretty durable. The information booklet actually says the non-stick is safe to use with metal utensils (except forks and knives), but I think I’ll just play it safe with wood and plastic cooking utensils. Two thumbs up to Farberware on this set, great quality and exceptional value. Maybe I’ll have to starts considering their other products once again as well.

Initially we loved these pans–they worked very well with our induction stove,
I can’t imagine a situation where someone would not, at least occasionally, cook on a medium high or high heat. Thus, these seem pretty useless to me, especially since it’s not just a guideline but does (in my experience) ruin the pans. Definitely not worth $150!
As a side note, if you do not have induction, I used both Kitchen Aid and TFal non-stick pans for years. Even using on high heat and even burning things to them on occasion, they were still in great condition (the TFal did start having trouble after 15+ years of use). So, I would recommend those over these for sure!
