   I bought this for my dad as a Christmas present. I searched for the largest bowl available that was well constructed and this is it!!! I had my dad’s shipped to me, so I could wrap it. But I liked it so much, I kept that one and ordered another. I am a teacher and often bake for my students, about 100 of them, and this bowl is great for doubling, tripling, quadrupling recipes. I highly recommend it!!

   I just received this bowl in the mail and I wasn’t quite prepared for how large it is – but am delighted all the same! I wanted a bowl large enough to handle yeast breads containing a minimum of 5 pounds of flour. I will NEVER have to worry about the dough creeping out of the bowl as it rises in this baby! This bowl will also work great for marinating large cuts of meat and making larger quantities of pasta salad, etc. for family gatherings.

   The bowl itself is pretty solid. Not flimsy at all. I expect this will last for years to come.

   This bowl is the perfect size for my needs. The sides are sturdy, but the bottom seems very thin. It makes me think that it will wear out in a few years.
