It’s a Steamer Insert – One Works Incredibly Well As All-Clad will inform you, this steamer works with 6, 8 or 12 quart stockpots. I use it with my 8-quart copper-core stockpot. (It still looks more like a Dutch Oven to me). The fit between the pot and the steamer is perfect.
