View CommentBetter alternative to electric fryer Purchased the All-Clad after learning about another fry basket and researching fry baskets. I chose the All-Clad because it’s stainless steel (vs chrome plated) and, as in all All-Clad products, it has a life-time warranty. It has a large capacity and the handle is NOT riveted to the basket, but it does seem to be securely attached. It turns the 6 qt stockpot or tall sauté pot into a deep fryer, or extracts the carcass and/or veggies out of stock liquid without having to strain off the liquid into another container.I love to make turkey or chicken soup with the carcass after most of the meat has been eaten, but there’s usually some meat sticking to the bones that needs to be hand pulled after boiling.
