   i love these pans and have bought a few. the prices are a little high but I have to say, its heavy duty, and you will have it forever. I have had them a couple years now and they are still going strong, and the pans I turn to all the time, more often than not. the bottom can get a little cloudy depending on your water, and so I put a little bar keepers friend powder in the bottom and it comes right out. I have to do this with all my stainless sleet so thats nothing unusual..I don’t think you will be disappointed.

   the measurements by the manufacturer are misleading (typical) – they are (not including lid) 6 1/4″ inside below the rim. and 3 1/8″ tall measured on the exterior. it holds exactly 1 1/2 quarts to the start of the rolled rim. I purchased this to replace a cheap anodized aluminum pan with a peeling non-stick coating. I have a bunch of all-clad d5 (which I adore) – and this seems to be as thick. i’m not doing temperamental cooking with this size saucepan – so I expect it should be just fine. it has a nice weight and seems well-balanced.

   I bought this complete 7 piece set several years ago and love the entire set. My husband burned this one, the smallest pan, beyond repair (and almost burned down the whole house and I wonder if the pan hadn’t been so durable if he might have) so I had to replace it right away. It’s perfect for boiling a couple eggs and any other small cooking task. Now my husband is banned from the kitchen and I’m a happy camper I still HAVE a kitchen.
