Arrived with chunks of enamel missing…twice!, August 21, 2016

I burned rice in a friend’s PD signature enamel 12 quart pot and ruined it. I tried to replace it with a new one from Amazon but failed…twice! Both times the replacement pot arrived with large areas of enamel missing. Since in one case, there was no loose enamel chips in the packaging, we have to assume it was placed in the box already damaged. We gave up trying to replace the pot and ended up giving our friends an Amazon gift card. I got full refunds both times so did not lose any money, just time and grief. Don’t waste your time with this one.

I was very pleased with my purchase of this beautiful cookware when it arrived. Starting with the packaging, Amazon did a perfect job making sure it would not be damaged in transit. This Paula Deen stock pot is well built, heavy duty cookware. The handles are sturdy and overall construction high quality. With the beautiful Lavendar specked exterior and creamy white interior you hate to hide it in a cupboard because it’s so pretty.

This pot looks great. In reality…it is awful! Great size. Made of cheap material obviously. Only used it twice and already the handles and inside lip of pot the enamel is cracking off. And I hand wash it. I am quite mad about it too. AND don’t even get me started on the ridiculous sticker covering one whole side of the pot. Took me hours to get it off. All I wanted was a big pot to can with. I will keep it just because I need it right now in the middle of canning season, but after that it is a goner.
All of my other Paula Deen pots and pans are amazing. This one is not worth the time or money. I will be spending a lot more money to get a better one that is for sure.
